The History of Labor Day

On the first Monday of September, people celebrate Labor Day! This day celebrates the achievements of workers. It shows that people in America work hard each and every day. 100 years after there was still question of who proposed the holiday. Peter J. McGuire, general of Brotherhood of Carpenters and joiners, of the American Federation of Labor were probably the ones who have suggusting the day to honor all of the workers of America. Nobody challanged the idea of Labor Day at the time. A machinist named Matt Maguire proposed Labor Day.A day in 1882 he was serving as a secertary in Central Labor Union in New York on that day he was the one who proposed to the holiday. The very first Labor Day was held on  a Tuesday on September 5, 1882. As years pass many people have enjoied the holiday. It bacame leagal in every state one by one. The celebration of Labor Day has lead to displays and even parades. Labor Day really shows our countries strength, freedom, and yes even leadership in our one of a kind country, AMERICA!!

Article about Africa

I think this artical from Africa is wrong. Just because your a girl dosen't mean you can't live your life. Just think in the future the men can't marry anybody. All because all of the women a gone. Eventhough marriage is expensive, it dosen't mean you can't have a simple ceremony for the couple.The things they are doing to them is horrible! And if they did that here it would be even worse. I think they sould change the law and whatever you have you have. If you have a girl don't kill her, and with a boy don't kill him. It is wrong to do that to anything, or anyone. And if you do that would be against the law. Not just having a baby girl. So if you have a boy or girl don't hurt it in anyway. Just do the right thing and hold on to the kid at all cost.

Hi, Mrs.DeBolt! How are you. I'm okay. This year I'm on a softball team called The ST.Louis Angels! I enjoy the team very much! I can't wait to play in my first tournement! I think softball is really fun, but I'm like a ball magnet so I always have an ice pack!

I enjoy computers because, you can do many things on them. And you can't always do the same on cell phones these days. I enjoy getting new ringtones one my phone. Aswell as, listening to music on the computer mainly on itunes. I also like learning about things you can do on the computer. I like them alot!

I have made my own warrior cat,based on the book series Warriors by Erin Hunter,and her name is Miseryfire.She is a black cat with white stripes and has mysterious orange and red eyes.She is in a Clan that I made up too,and it is called PhantomClan.This Clan is for dark-hearted cats that love to go into battle against another Clan and loves to invade another Clans territory.Miseryfire is one of the best and fastest warriors in the entire forest.She is mysterious though.She is dark,mysterious,rude,stubborn,and loves the shadows of the camp.She loves to go hunting in the shadows of trees and bushes cause the prey can never see her.

Phoenixes

My favorite mythical animal would be a Phoenix.They can make their wings and tail go into flames while flying.They are the most mysterious animals I have ever seen.Their tears can heal any wounds.They are giant birds,like raptor birds with electric-blue eyes.
